Planning consent granted for a new double-height auditorium for Lansdowne House

Planning consent has been granted for a design enhancement that will incorporate a striking double-height auditorium for Lansdowne House, on Berkeley Square, Mayfair. Due to be the new London headquarters for Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager, the updated design will provide a 250-person event and networking space.

Located in the heart of Mayfair, the 225,000 sqft workspace building has been designed by Stirling-prize winning architects AHMM and is due to be handed over to Blackstone at the end of 2027.

The auditorium will result in a forward extension of two storeys and a lengthened top canopy. The increased transparency of the central bays will showcase unrivalled views across Berkeley Square.

Once complete, the building aspires to attain the highest possible sustainability standards including a BREEAM Outstanding rating and a WELL Platinum certification.
