CO—RE's Alexandra Thorpe joined the Bisnow panel on Future-Ready Offices
At Bisnow's UK Office Series conference, CO—RE's Alex Thorpe spoke on a panel on "Future-Ready Offices". The panel explored how today's office developments are being designed to meet the demands of the next decade.
As occupiers’ needs are constantly evolving, developers are adapting to provide the flexibility they require - either between or even within tenancies.
“We’re all human, so we want to deliver spaces for people,” Alex shared. “We can’t forget the fundamentals: great location, high‑quality space, and amenities that make an area vibrant beyond the working day. People need places where they can socialise, breathe, think, and create – that’s when they do their best work.”
At CO—RE, this thinking goes beyond the spec and beyond the building boundary. Whether it’s Stonecutter, which pairs flexible, column‑light floorplates with exceptional environmental performance, or schemes like Vista, where wellbeing is embedded through generous outdoor space on every floor, the focus is the same: create workplaces that earn the commute.
We’re also seeing first‑hand how adaptability drives demand. At Lansdowne House, a highly flexible floorplates was central to Blackstone pre‑letting the entire building, allowing the firm to evolve its space without major upheaval.
Thank you to all the fellow panellists and to Arup’s James O'Donnell for chairing the session.
