CO—RE joins Fleet Street Quarter events

The Fleet Street Quarter is undergoing a radical transformation. An unprecedented level of groundbreaking development is currently underway to deliver an estimated 3m sq ft of new Grade A office, retail and leisure space with a GDV of up to £5bn by 2028. Our redevelopment of 120 Fleet Street and The Daily Express Building is among the transformational schemes coming forward.

The CO—RE team joined two recent events addressing this renaissance among other professionals from the industry. Our Chief Executive Bradley Baker chaired a London Property Alliance seminar which focused on the investment into real estate in the Quarter.

Director David Hutton joined a panel at the ‘Era of Change’ event, hosted at Goldman Sachs European HQ, to launch Fleet Street Quarter's new public realm strategy. The proposals could see the biggest transformation that this part of the city has seen since the Bazalgette Embankment 150 years ago with a clean, green, and safe future intended to emphasise pedestrianization and safe cycle routes.

Quoted in the report, David Hutton shares the reasons behind the significant opportunities in the Fleet Street Quarter:

“It’s an area that offers significant opportunity because it’s positioned to act as both City and West End markets,” says David Hutton. “A lot of occupiers are a bit less sensitive about location than they used to be and they have placed more of a focus on getting the right building to really express their brands. They want that building to be in an area that is genuinely amenity rich and accessible. A number of those occupiers - especially from the West End market, which is increasingly short of quality supply and where rents have grown significantly for prime stock - are radiating out of those locations and I think the Fleet Street Quarter gives people that opportunity to service markets across London.”

With big upcoming projects like 120 Fleet Street and 2 Waterhouse Square, CO-RE is excited to be part of this ‘Fleeting Revival’. To download the report, head to:'s-era-of-change
