The National Theatre Partnership with Mitsubishi Estate London offers thousands of students access to free theatre tickets

The National Theatre and Mitsubishi Estate London Limited are proud to launch a new five-year partnership to support young people’s access to the arts.

This major new initiative will provide thousands of students from schools across Greater London with free tickets to the National Theatre’s stand-out productions. Bespoke learning resources will also be created to bring stories from the plays and their themes into classrooms.

This year, 1,000 young people will be able to enjoy performances of ‘Hamlet’ and ‘Ballet Shoes’ on the South Bank, reflecting the National Theatre’s commitment to creating transformative experiences for young people through daring, innovative work that sparks imagination and opens up new ways of seeing and understanding the world.

The partnership forms part of Mitsubishi Estate London’s broader vision for Vista at 72 Upper Ground, the landmark redevelopment of the former ITV studios adjacent to the National Theatre. The 2.5-acre site is being transformed into a vibrant, mixed-use destination that prioritises wellbeing, sustainability and cultural engagement. At the heart of the scheme is the London Studios, a multi-level cultural and innovation hub offering affordable, purpose-built space for Lambeth’s emerging creative industries, including rehearsal studios, gallery and training spaces, and discounted workspaces for organisations supporting disadvantaged young people.
