Green Policy
The partnership recognises that its business activities have environmental impacts and seeks the active co-operation of designers, contractors, occupiers and other interested parties in reducing these to a minimum.
The partnerships policy is to:
- Seek high environmental standards in new buildings;
- Encourage good environmental management of existing buildings;
- Seek reductions in energy consumption throughout the operations;
- Reduce waste to a minimum and recycle whenever this is the most cost effective environmental option;
- Actively encourage occupiers to think about their own environmental impacts.
In recent years these values have been enforced by Core's commitment to obtain BREEAM's excellent standard on all new developments.
Recent projects 20 Gresham Street and Watermark Place have both achieved BREEAM 'excellent' with Watermark Place securing the best sustainability project award for 2010 at the National LDSA Awards at the London Guildhall in November 2010.
